Book Reviews

More than One – Twins & Multiples and How to Survive Them:
A hands-on practical guide dealing with the complexities of multiple pregnancies, and raising multiples until school-age.  I particularly enjoyed its pictures and insights from the authors.  The book includes information on schooling and a separate section on triplets.

Twins – From Conception to Five Years:
A practical guide explaining the social, emotional and intellectual development of twins and discussing how to encourage separate identities.  While the book is slightly preachy, it offers some good basic advise on coping with the extra workload that having multiples brings.

A Full House:
A humour story about a zany couple who also happen to have two small sons followed by triplets.  Adults would enjoy this lively story.

Twins - A Practical and Emotional guide to parenting twins:
An excellent resource to expectant twin mums and dads.  It includes practical tips on what to expect during pregnancy, birth and that ‘blurry phase’ after the twins are born and beyond. It has some inspiring true stores about the twin experience.  Highly recommended reading.

Up the Duff:
This book provides an honest but humorous perspective into the world of pregnancy. It gives the reader a week by week description of what to expect for mum and baby during pregnancy, with witty anecdotes providing a funny edge. An entertaining read, but maybe a bit too light hearted for me, at times.
